Marta’s EVS in Krakow
Cheers to friendship!
It has been almost two months since I returned from my 9 month EVS in the Polish town of Krakow. Looking back on the whole experience, I would have to say one of the most cherished aspects I hold of this experience are the friends that I made. The relationships you create when you are living far from home are much more intense and they quickly become part of a new family.
I would like to give a shout out to my three best friends from Krakow: Giorgia from Italy, Lucia from Slovakia and Yessim from Turkey. Crossing paths with them was a gift. Despite having come from such distant places one to another, the four of us found we had so much in common and started a beautiful friendship. I believe that is one of the best things you can experience when you leave home. You expect to be lonely until you click with people you feel like you have known your whole life and who make you feel at home.
Thanks to technology and social media we are still in touch and keep eachother updated daily. We have even planned our reunion next summer: Yessim will be our host!!
